Good Morning

Then said Jesus unto them, When ye have lifted up the Son of man, then shall ye know that I am he, and that I do nothing of myself; but as my Father hath taught me, I speak these things. And he that sent me is with me: the Father hath not left me alone; for I do always those things that please him. As he spake these words, many believed on him. John 8:28-30

The Christian compulsion is threefold:
A sense of direction–to “do always those things that please him”. Nothing can transcend the examples and practice of our Lord Jesus Christ. Among all treatises on personal relationship and conduct, there can be found no more reliable guide in matters of faith and conduct than that afforded in this simple and vital summary–that is, that we occupy ourselves with doing (not just contemplating) the things pleasing to Christ, “always”.
A sense of mission.Christ, ever our example, recognized and accepted His Divine Mandate, With Him the task was not a self-appointed one, but rather He was conscious of Divine Compulsion. “He sent me.” So it must be with all who bear His name.
A sense of companionship. Christ reiterates this fact of the Divine Presence. “He hath not left me alone.” Supremely important in this reassurance. ~~~Selected
