Good Morning
Galatians 5:25
If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.
What goes into the Christian life?
Many traditions of the faith have answered that question
with certain emphases and nuances, but three common traits
have always been part of the Christian walk:
Faith, trust and obedience.
FAITH is a belief in the reality of God,
the goodness and love of God,
and the relationship God desires to have with us.
“Now faith is being sure of what we hope for
and certain of what we do not see” Hebrews 11:1 NIV
TRUST is an ongoing expression of faith;
it is placing our confidence in God
and depending on Him every step of the way.
It is our basis for assurance that God is
with us in all circumstances of life.
“Though he slay me, yet will I hope in him.” Job 13:15 NIV
OBEDIENCE is when we acknowledge that
Jesus is not only our Savior–but our Lord.
It is the full of expression of faith,
where we trust God so much
we submit to His commands, His ways, His will.
“But if we walk in the light,
as he is in the light,
we have fellowship with one another,
and the blood of Jesus, his son,
purifies us fro all sin.” John 1:7 NIV
God is God.
Because He is God.
He is worthy of my trust and obedience.
I will find rest nowhere
but in His holy will,
a will that is unspeakably beyond my largest notions
of what He is up to.

God is God . . . Today
With my prayers, desiring yours, Leslie
I really enjoyed reading your post today. Having trust in God and obedience to whatever he asks is something that I am desperately trying to get better at. I have discovered that I have a lot of work to do. But I do believe that my life will be much more richly blessed if I do. I am grateful for your thoughts on this today. The one thing that is most helpful on this journey is sincere prayer. I ready this article a while ago and it was really helpful. Let me know what you think. And thank you again.
