Yarn Along is Back!

What is ‘Yarn Along’?
Yarn Along is a place at Ginny’s blog where Knitters meet
(Crocheters are welcome, too)
to share all the wonderful projects being worked on,
finished,
frogged, (ripped out all the hard work)
learned from and
cried over.
These dear people also share what they are reading,
or like me are listening to, adding a bit of the story line
or a provoking thought.
(I haven’t been able to read and knit/crochet at the same time.
Sometimes I can’t even talk and knit/crochet at the same time.)

Yarn Along
~ Two of my favorite things are knitting and reading
and I love sharing my projects and current reads here.~
This is how Ginny begins her blog, Small Things,
on the First Wednesday of the month.
During the month we can link up to share
what is going on with our hands wrapped around needles or hooks and yarn.
Many of the wonderful items, knitted or crocheted,
I see get added to my someday list.
Books and authors, new to me, peak my interest and are noted.
Now you know.
This link will take to Ginny’s,
I hope you enjoy your visit.
You’ll see me there.

Back in December I removed my favorite games from my phone.
Too much time and, yes, I bought lives,
too much money was being spent in that activity.
I began reading more and crocheting more and finishing projects much faster.

With newly purchased yarn
I made dear friends in New York an afghan to help stay warm.

and my oldest daughter, Mary, an afghan
to brighten her new home.

I decided to work on WIPs (Works in Progress)
and finished (as big as I wanted to make) Rings of Change
for my middle daughter, Margaret, for Christmas.

A little boy needed and blankie and Spice of Life not finished
but big enough for a little boy received a border and I called it finished.

Next WIP pulled out of time out was Galaxy of Change, December 31, 2017.
It was stalled on row 24, I made it until row 36
when I found my stitch count was off, too much to fudge it.
I ripped back to row 33.
Beginning again and counting VERY carefully.
I passed row 36 and last night I started row 45.

Crocheting is so much easy with a correct stitch count.
I don’t really like the large kinda diamond shaped holes, so I’ll fix them.

on Kindle A Prairie Heritage series, Vikki Kestell
Last two Audible books –
The Inn Keeper of Ivy Hill and Lady of Milkweed Manor
– Julie Klassen
Currently from the ear buds –
The Forgotten Garden – Kate Morton

Pattern links to Ravelry.

I am sure I won’t have this many projects to share next month.
I need to do some quilting.
