Day by Day

Daily Habit

Habit definition –
a settled tendency or usual manner of behavior
a behavior pattern acquired by frequent repetition

We are in charge of our habits.
Habits don’t accidently happen,
even though we may not consciously
be aware we are making a habit.
Many times we find habits after the fact.

We think this is just the way I am.
Step back
Would I glorify God more without this behavior pattern?
Can I change this pattern?

“A nail is driven out by another nail;
habit is overcome by habit.”
Desiderius Erasmus

Habits can be changed.
Only by replacing that habit with another habit
with frequent repetition.

‘. . . spending time each day with God–in His Word, in prayer, in reflection of His love and plans for –will make a tremendous positive difference in your life. . .”

What a habit this would be.
What power this habit would open up to us
What grace would be available for our needs
What Comfort and Love
we would be able to share with hurting souls.

God’s mercies are new every single day. Lamentations 3:20
God’s strength is provided for us each day to meet
the challenges of that particular day Deuteronomy 3:25
We are advised to put each of our days

Today’s Thought – . . .It is even a vapor

mom away day 2 064

Good Morning

James 4:13-14
Go to now, ye that say, To day or to morrow we will go into such a city, and continue there a year, and buy and sell, and get gain: Whereas ye know not what shall be on the morrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapour, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away.

Every day is a little life;
and our whole life is but a day repeated:
whence it is that old Jacob numbers his life by days;
and Moses desires to be taught this point of holy arithmetic–
to number not his years, but his days.
Those, therefore, that dare lose a day are dangerously prodigal;
those that dare misspend it desperate. ~~~ Bishop Hall

So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom. Psalm 90:12

Count well . . .Today
With my prayers, desiring yours, Leslie
