Yarn Along — I Like Yarn

On Wednesday’s knitters go to Ginny’s to share all the wonderful projects being worked on, finished, frogged, cried over, and learned from. They also tell what they are reading and a little of the storyline or provoking thoughts. I think it is great. So many books, knitting ideas and hints on how to make knitting more enjoyable.

july 3 yarn along 006I finished this one October 9, 2013. No picture yet, it is at my daughter’s, she blocks for me. I love this pattern! I want to make me one, it is a crescent shaped half circle and wraps around me like a hug. What more can I ask for in a shawl. Ravelry link.

oct 23 my wish, ginko, new jane 006“My Wish’ started October 10. I have been very faithfully (for me) knitting on this until Tuesday until I had to babysit 3 girlies under 4 and didn’t want to try beading with six busy hands. I’m having fun with this one. Ravelry link

October 23 – Today’s thought – Faith

P1020642Peggy’s Cove, Nova Scotia, October 23, 2009

Good Morning

Holding the mystery of faith . . .1 Timothy 3:9

Faith is the eye by which we look to Jesus A dim-sighted eye is still an eye, a weeping eye is still an eye.

Faith is the hand with which we lay hold on Jesus. A trembling hand is still a hand. And he is a believer whose heart within him trembles when he touches the hem of the Savior’s garment, that he may be healed.

Faith is the tongue by which we taste how good the Lord is. A feverish tongue is nevertheless a tongue. And even then we may believe when we are without the smallest portion of comfort; for our faith is founded not upon feelings but on the promises of God.

Faith is the foot by which we go to Jesus. A lame foot is still a foot. He who comes slowly nevertheless still comes.

WHAT FAITH DOES
Verse 1
You ask me why I believe like I do
Why I’m so convinced that the Bible is true
I’m here to tell you, it’s only because
I’ve come through enough to see what faith does
Chorus
Faith sees the invisible, believes the impossible
Receives the incredible, no matter what was
Faith moves the unmovable, proves the unprovable
For anyone willing to trust
Believe and you’ll see what faith does
Verse 2
If there’s a mountain that stands in your way
From all you can see, it will be there to stay
God said with the faith of a small mustard seed
That mountain will move, believe and you’ll see
Chorus
Tag
Believe and you’ll see what faith does
You’ll see what faith does
You’ll see what faith does

Ten on Tuesday – Food?

ToT-Button

On Tuesday’s Carole hosts ‘Ten on Tuesdays’.
She chooses a topic – we list ten items.

10 Foods You Eat Regularly Now That Were Exotic (or unheard of) When You Were a Kid.

The only think I can think of is: I eat out more.
Eating out was almost unheard of when I was young.
So eating out was such a treat, even if just hamburgers.
I’ve used a lot of my mom’s recipes and menus.
I can’t improve goodness.

And I’m not an adventuresome eater.
