“Chats on the Farmhouse Porch” is a group of friends
gathering to visit,
sip their favorite beverages,
nibble delicious treats
and share their likes and dislikes.
Patrice and Wendell have invited me to join the chatting.
Patrice provides the questions,
we answer.
Furry Bottoms asks: Did you grow up in a small town, or a big town? Did you like it?
During school years, I lived in small towns or rural areas.
I loved it walk to school, stores, library, the pool in the summer.
I always felt safe, good times.
Lisa wants to know: If you could pick one song to hear for the rest of your life, what would it be?
This one is hard, but I guess the song
I could listen to for a long, long time
is sung by the Cathedral’s in this link.
My song “Don’t Be Afraid”
http://youtu.be/giWalWKIOaA
(Chorus)
So don’t be afraid when the darkness is closing
The Master is near, His voice calms every storm
So when the world says it’s over, the Master says, “No, I’ve just begun”
In your darkest of times, whether rain or in sunshine, don’t be afraid
Karen asks: What are your pet peeves?
Drivers that pull out in front of me,
causing me to slow down
and when I look in the rear view mirror
there is no one on the road for a mile.
Colletta says: Do you remember your dreams? Are they in color or black and white? What is the craziest dream you’ve ever had?
My worst dream/nightmare was floating eyeballs,
getting closer, receding = scary to me.
Then it was hard to go back to sleep
because I kept seeing th eyeballs.
I can see them now.
I hope I’m not setting myself up for a wakeful night.
Rachel asks: What is the perfect pair of shoes for you?
Oh my poor feet,
these days they prefer something comfortable with a little heel.
Shoes that don’t draw attention to themselves,
I don’t like people looking at my feet.

Hello, it’s good to meet you. I enjoyed reading your answers.
Thanks for visiting.
That’s a fun post! Thanks for stopping by! I grew up in Ashland, MA…but would love to see Ashland, OR!
It’s a small college town–with a great yarn shop and equally nice quilt shop.. Thanks for stopping by.
Eeek! I wouldn’t fancy that dream!
And that pet peeve of yours …. I can *totally* relate. I mean – really – WHY on earth pull out in front of me when there’s no more traffic coming for miles??!
Maybe the dream is why I think someone is always watching me. I’ve had the dream since before I was 10.
I enjoyed your answers. Have a great week!
Thanks for visiting.
floating eyeballs – that sounds very scary. i sure hope you get to having more happy dreams soon.
enjoy your week. ( :
Thank you I rarely dream these days.
Okay, I know it’s a creepy dream, but it sounds kinda funny too…I keep imagining those little balls that have the floating eyes in them on a rubber band…LOL…I don’t know how I cam up with that…It just popped in my head & out of my mouth. Have a blessed week :O)
My mom has a saying on her wall, A closed moth gathers no foot. Exposing the dream has taken a little of the creepy out of it. Thanks for listening.
It’s amazing how real dreams can be. I usually have weird or scary ones if I eat ice cream too late. I agree with your pet peeves. There needs to be a special category for driving pet peeves. Folks are so aggressive when they get behind a wheel.
I only joined for two weeks, chatting is fun, thanks for hosting.
