On Wednesday’s knitters go to Ginny’s to share all the wonderful projects being worked on, finished, frogged, cried over, and learned from. They also tell what they are reading and a little of the storyline or provoking thoughts. I think it is great. So many books, knitting ideas and hints on how to make knitting more enjoyable.
I’m having a big problem with Miss Shirley’s shawl.
Last week I told you I had to frog a long row,
this week I reknit the long row and the count is still off…:(
Doesn’t it look innocent?
Miss Brittany’s granny square is coming along – it’s my take-a-long knitting.
My dear friend’s daughter is getting married in April.
I’ll just use the ivory thread for the embroidery,
to give a white on white look to go with her ivory bedding.
If you click here you’ll see what’s happening at Ginny’s.
AND if you click here, you’ll find more friends at Tami’s.
I’m reading Plague of Memory by S. L. Viehl, one of the Star Doc series.
Viehl’s science fiction series is one I’ve really enjoyed.
What a pretty projects you have. I love the look of Miss Shirley’s shawl and the granny square is quite large already.
Thank you for visiting my blog, it is nice to meet you:)
Thank you, too. The granny is about 20 inches across, I was going to add that, but forgot.
such lovely works you have going on. and happy day! a wedding soon. how exciting. ❤
Thank you, I just wish I could attend the wedding, but it is out of state.
That’s a lovely wedding gift. I wish I knew how to embroider.
Thank you, my mom taught me, my first sampler says I .was 6,
don’t you just HATE it when that count is off…..notice, it only happens on the really L-O-N-G rows! It’s worth sticking with it…it’s lovely!
yes, but I wonder is this shawl ready for timeout!
Miss Shirley is being a naughty girl and Miss Brittany is following directions..
so true
Love the colours of your Granny square blanket, and the embroidery patten is beautiful. Good luck with the stitch count. x
Thank you, hope your day goes well
Hi Leslie, I love how you reply to each comment. I came here to respond to your comment on the Gratitude KAL I mentioned on yesterday’s blogpost because I am never sure if the response gets back to the person….. do you know what I mean?
As for those innocent WIPs that can bring you to your knees… I had that happen last night with my Sea Glass Cowl. I discovered a dropped stitch about ten rows back. So I unraveled and sadly rewound the ball of yarn, and began again. I am at the point where I left off, but I have to admit, I am wishing to be on the cast off row. I love making things, but have a short span of attention in getting them to the finished product. And yes, the cowl just sat there looking at me like “What?”, “What did I do?”. LOL
I understand, there are just so many new lovely knits to try. I like replying although I wonder just where my words go when I click reply/send. 🙂
